Aquacare Rehabilitation Services, Inc. : Four Phases of Rehabilitation

Our Comprehensive Therapy Program

We participate in most insurances!

<Phase 1
>1) Patient Evaluation

Your first step towards a rapid recovery will be a comprehensive evaluation by one of our licensed physical therapists.

The evaluation helps us to develop goals and an individualized program to meet your specific needs. This evaluation also establishes a baseline to help us track your progress.

Personalized "Hands-On" Treatment Every patient heals differently; therefore, Aquacare's therapists will develop a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.

Our staff always strives for high-quality care and continues to enhance their education by attending postgraduate courses.

Phase 2
2) Aquatic Rehabilitation-Earlier Intervention

Aquatic therapy allows patients to begin therapy immediately in a pain-free environment within days of injury or surgery with little risk of reinjury.

The aquatic environment helps reduce inflammation, and decreases weightbearing on injured joints, which allows the injured area to be exercised sooner and safer as compared to land. Water improves motion, flexibility, and strength and aids in pain reduction.

The program is performed one-on-one with a licensed physical therapist specializing in Aquatic therapy.

Best of all, aquatic therapy can be used even if a patient does not know how to swim!

>Phase 3
3) Land Rehabilitation

Aquatic therapy by itself is not enough to get the job done. As a part of your comprehensive rehabilitation, we offer combined aquatic and land programs, as well as stand-alone land therapy programs, depending on your needs.

This phase includes increasing your overall strength, endurance, and flexibility through cardiovascular training, progressive resistance exercise, dynamic stabilization training and activity, and sports-specific training.

We offer the latest in high-tech equipment, including various exercise stations, weights, pulleys, bikes, treadmill, and the elliptical cross-trainer.

Through an emphasis on education and supervision, we will teach you how to recognize your limits and how to avoid further injury. The main goal of this phase is to return you to your maximum functional level and teach you how to stay healthy.

Phase 4
4) Personal Training/Open Gym/Open Swim Memberships

Work Conditioning
Some patients may need additional therapy to help them meet the physical demands of their job. Work conditioning is an aggressive treatment phase incorporating carefully selected strengthening, cardiovascular, and work-simulated activities.

Our objective is to help you get back to work quickly while minimizing the risk of reinjury.
